Stepping out with pride in the Lord Mayor’s Show

WCI members, friends and family had a great day supporting the 696th Lord Mayor Alastair King at the Lord Mayor's Show.

Led by the Master, Karl Jarvis, the WCI team proudly proclaimed the message #LondonInsuresTheWorld around the streets of the City of London and on national TV. Volunteers from the cadets the WCI supports joined the parade along with volunteers from the Master’s Charity, Barrow Farm Riding for the Disabled.

Throughout the day, the WCI contingent enjoyed the splendour of Painters’ Hall, where breakfast, lunch and an after show Champagne tea were served.

Master Karl Jarvis said it was a great day for everyone involved and thanked the organising committee led by James Benn as well as the sponsors who made the Company's particpation possible.

He also reminded everyone that it was just a dry-run for an even bigger particpation by the WCI next year when Dame Susan Langley will be the Lady Mayor with the WCI as her Mother Company. Dame Susan joined the WCI members and their guests at Painters' Hall and thanked them for their support and encouragement.
