iWIN Launch - Mansion House
On 18 June 2014 The Worshipful Company of Insurers launched the Independent Women in Insurance Network
The mission of the Worshipful Company of Insurers (WCI) is to become the pan-industry networking organisation for individuals in insurance and last night it launched a new Independent Women in Insurance Network (iWIN) at Mansion House to over 200 guests. iWIN will provide a coherent voice for the interests of all women within the insurance industry and will support the growing momentum of the diversity agenda. It's aim is to create a forum for networking, mentoring and for targeted learning and development. The event was hosted by the Master of the WCI, Bronek Masojada, iWIN Steering Committee Chair Barbara Merry, and was also attended by Nicholas Woolf, representing The Lord Mayor, Fiona Woolf.
Commenting on the establishment of iWIN, Barbara Merry said: “It is excellent that the WCI has acknowledged the need for a forum targeted at senior and aspiring women in our industry. The diversity agenda is about fairness and ensuring that individuals are not hampered in their development through bias or prejudice. It is also a crucial business imperative, facilitating improved business performance through superior decision making. “With Bronek's leadership, the WCI is embracing the momentum building in our industry around diversity with the establishment of iWIN. There is clearly a need, judging by the overwhelming response to our launch event.” Bronek Masojada, Master of the WCI said: "The launch of the iWIN forum builds on the success of the Insurance Non Executive Director (iNED) forum - both of which are part of the WCI's mission to be the premier pan-industry body for individuals active in the business of insurance.” ENDS Media contacts: Lauren Franze firstname.lastname@example.org 020 7382 4740
